My passion for programming all started by making scripts for games. After my first steps in software engineering I changed to ICT in my last years of high school, followed by Applied Computer Science in college.

Nowadays I like to design and implement integration solutions. This includes simple setups in a single Azure Logic App or complex hybrid solutions using Azure and on-premises webservices and messaging frameworks.

Work Experience

Integration Consultant

October 2017 - March 2021

Inetum-Realdolmen @ ArcelorMittal

I was part of the integration team located in Ghent. In this team we managed multiple projects based on integration frameworks like BizTalk, IBM MQ and IBM API Connect. To onboard logistical and other external partners, we used Azure with its on-premises data gateway in order to safely forward data from the cloud to the on-premises environment.

April 2020 - August 2020

Inetum-Realdolmen @ Hospital Logistics

The company integrated with their customers using BizTalk. Due to the ending lifecycle of BizTalk they wanted to move their solutions to the cloud. Together with a colleague (Integration Architect) we came up with a solution to replace the current BizTalk logic with a new dynamic setup in Azure. We used Azure DevOps to automatically deploy our resources to Azure, including our configuration. With the use of an Integration Account, Logic Apps, Azure Functions, ServiceBus, and a SQL database hosted in Azure we were able to fully mimic the old solution. Furthermore, our client can now easily expand the configuration to onboard new customers with the least amount of effort.
